This feeder is easy to setup and program. I would test the feeder slot a few times to ensure the proper amount of food is dropping into the tank. I recommend underfeeding than overfeeding if traveling. Make sure your around to monitor the first few runs before leaving on a trip.
What I like about this feeder is that it can be recharge. This means no batteries to buy. You can always change the amount of food you want to feed and can set it up to feed a lease 4 times a day.
This is this is great or temporary feeder. For like vacation over the weekend. Make sure that food flows evenly to give proper measurement you do not want to over or under feed so test the device out before installation.

Not suitable for flake food it gets moisture from the tank and the flakes tend to stick to the drum; maybe if you use pellets work better
