I used this unit when we were traveling and out of town. This dispenser is very easy to set up and use. The dispenser allow to have several feeding time and different amount as well. I am fully recommended this dispenser. It’s an awesome product.
People say the directions are bad, despite the warning I got it anyway. The directions are fine, had no problem with it. Used flakes and what I did was mash all the flakes into smaller granulates so that it would come out of the feeder. Worked great!

“Just a warning to any of you that have never used an automatic feeder before. TEST the output before you put it on your tank. I didn’t think about that and had the little door all the way open. It then proceeded to dump about 5 tablespoons of food into my tank. What a mess. Fortunately I was standing there and able to respond quickly. So test it first, then so that you always know where to have the feeder door open to I used a permanent marker so that I will always know how open it should be.
It works well. Customer service is great and the item arrived quickly and undamaged. Would Highly recommend.”
It does the job, but there are several flaws: It’s confusing to program. It’s hard to predict how much food will come out, especially with flake type foods. It worked okay the first time I used it, but stopped working during the middle of my vacation the second time because it ran out of battery power, so be sure to add fresh batteries each time. There seems to also be a newer model out that is USB charged.
Bought this to feed our red-eared slider when we went on vacation. I tested it for a few days before our trip and it worked beautifully. Very happy with my purchase!
