“1. Read the manual for programming it. Surprising how many people would just throw those things away and fish it out of the trash later. Pun intended.
2. Sounds obvious, but do some trial rolls with your hand underneath to get an idea on portion sizes and adjust based on that. Plus make sure it actually falls out of the gap you leave it. Just enough of a gap for the food to fit is often all that is needed.
3. Avoid putting powdery food or even things that are too small. The constant exposure to moisture will lead to a solid mass forming inside. Also potential for mold since it’s exposed to a moist environment constantly. Just keep an eye on the laziness enabling machine, you sloth. Oh sorry, that was the mirror.”
Good product value for money. Need to spend few minutes to set the feeding time and amount of food dispensed each time. The opening from where the food get released moves back up every time after delivering, so water evaporating does not enter and wet the food. Ideal fish-feeding solution when
I have now brought 2 of these auto feeders for a long holiday,I have been testing them for the last month monitoring them checking on feed times and amounts of food being displaced from each feeder ,and Battery used.I could see the fish food had gone down. I have kept it going so I dont need to worry about feeding them. It is bulky but i think they all are.
Cute easy to use little device that could feed your fish in a pinch if you had no other options. It does what it says and feeds up to 4x’s a day. Although the portions are never the same, there is a large portion control door to make it so you can have a little or a lot dumped out. I wouldn’t trust this to feed on a regular long term basis but if I just had to have something for a couple days so my fish didn’t starve, I would use it.
Really helped us got when we went on holiday. Easy to use and setup. Not noisy, seems to have plenty of feeding time and quantity options. It feeds just the right amount of food for the number of fish I have in the tank when we had to go for holidays.
Iove it. Simple and easy to operate, after a few days of use, the effect is very good, it can automatically distribute food, no need to worry about me. This is also the shelter I will be looking for when I go out, so I decided to buy one of them so that I don’t have to worry about feeding them every day. When I am not at home, I also have a remote monitor to monitor my fish to make sure they are okay. This gadget can definitely help me at this special time. Especially when I plan to travel long distances.
Overall, I’m okay with this fish feeder. I was not very easy to program and honestly, I’m not even sure I did it correctly. The shelf fills with too much food after filling and then it does not allow an even amount over of food over a long time.
Buying a fish feeder for the first time and easy to use, just read the instructions, they even built in some quick shortcuts to set it up. It can be adjusted to cover different types of fish foods, different portions and daily eating times. It is easy to install on the side of the tank, which is an advantage. All in all I like the effect of this product and would recommend it to my family
The batteries that come with it last 1 week and 1 day when feeding once a day. Other than that, my fish were all alive when I came back from vacation, and the tank wasn’t green. Good little machine.

It’s in 24 hour format, but that’s not an issue, just an observation. I’ve only used it about a week, will update if it fails.
