Up to 10-Pack Premium Activated Carbon Filters, enough for a 6-12 months use.
Composed of a cotton layer, activated carbon and an ion exchange resin for filtering hair and residue, remove odors and soften water, getting better water tasting.
Rinse it before use to prevent the activated carbon dust from shedding into water.
Suggested to replace it 2-4 weeks to keep the water clean and fresh.
I just got my cat fountain, and used the filter. Its recommended to wet the filter to remove charcoal dust. These filters are great, they fit perfect and are easy to apply to the cat fountain.
Got a pet fountain? You’ll need these when you run out of starter filters.

I received the filters quickly, and they were exactly what I needed for my pet fountains. They’re just like the filters the fountains came with, and they were cheaper than other identical options. Additionally, when I ordered refills from a different supplier the packaging wasn’t durable enough for storage. These arrived packaged in an appropriately sized box for easier storage.
“These filters are a very expensive proposition when you consider that in order to keep them from being a breeding ground for the bacteria S. marcescens—the reddish-pink color the filter will turn to announces their presence—they have to be replaced every week after thoroughly cleaning the fountain, every week. That’s the only way I found to control those noxious bacteria.
This week I rinsed the filter well and am reusing it to see if any pink shows up on it at cleaning time next week because S. marcescens is extremely difficult to eradicate completely. I had to use bleach weekly when I cleaned the fountain and when that didn’t control it I followed a microbiologist’s suggestion and just threw the filter away, every week. Now, not only do I no longer see a reddish-pink filter but the pump’s cables are no longer slimy with its biofilm.
My cat will be 19 yrs old in September and is in very good health—considering his age—and I want to keep it that way. So I won’t have his water fountain teeming with something that loves water & dampness. (You only have to look in your tub & shower to find it if you don’t dry it completely after using it.) So change the filter more frequently than recommended because your pet’s health is worth it!”
Exactly as advertised. I think the filtered water fountain will prolong my cats lives and anything I can do to help them, I will. And it works well. Good.
